Tsula House

I designed and oversaw the build of a rammed earth home in the San Luis Valley of Colorado in the fall & winter of 2020.  
My husband Tom, our friend Charles Stamm,  nephew Thomas Cobb and I built this with water from the Rio Grande river and earth from our plot of land, through blood sweat and tears.

As I reckon can happen with reality entertainment, the portrayal was at once more and less flattering and brutal than the experience truly was. It was a beautiful trial from which many valuable takeways were stamped indelibly in our minds and hearts.

I'd love to someday get with the guys and write a short memoir of our collective experience in the valley.
