My name is Meghan Sanford. I'm a Southeast Texas artist working in traditional and digital media, including large-scale murals. My first mural was over 7,300sf in downtown Beaumont, leading to a workload that not only allowed me to leave my day job - but to open a store and design office; featuring a locally built creative collaborative, my personally curated vintage collection for men and women, and various Gulf Coast-themed select gifts and sundries.
I am an experienced remodeler and construction + residential surveyor. I know most standard trades myself, have lead multiple crews and have installed over 300,00sf of flooring and tile.
I design, map and provide animated renders of your home (re)model including finishes, landscaping and lighting. I can refinish your countertops in real or faux stone; but my favorite for counters is epoxy!
In 2020 I designed a rammed earth cabin for a 5-acre parcel I bought in the highest alpine valley in the world (Colorado's San Luis Valley), and was able to execute that design with my husband and small crew for an episode of DIY Network's Building Off the Grid. It was the experience of a lifetime with my family!
I love fashion, painting, everything about homes from planning to building to decorating... cooking, parenting, gardening, everything to do with horses, and design in general.
Taluka Trades is located at 489 Pearl, Beaumont, TX.
Taluka is a combination of my three children's names - Tucker, Luke and Ava.
"The thunderbird is a significant symbol in Southwestern Native American art and culture, representing a deep connection to the natural world - with themes of power, protection, and transformation."
